Step 1
Step 1: Lay Out the Premise.
Determine the situation or conflict that underscores the adventure. Also think about the adventure's setting and what is unique and fun about it.
Adventure
This service builds a usable adventure scaffold in four steps: a premise based on party tier, a hook that draws the characters in, an encounter objective for planning scenes, and a climactic ending.
You can guide the generator by choosing a level tier, an optional hook table, and an optional encounter-planner objective. Any option left unset is chosen randomly by the backend.
Generator
Choose a tier and generate one random adventure situation.
Step 1
Determine the situation or conflict that underscores the adventure. Also think about the adventure's setting and what is unique and fun about it.
Step 2
Think about how the characters will get drawn into the situation you've established. Consider how the adventure might tie in with the characters' goals.
Step 3
Determine the encounters or events that take the characters from the beginning of the adventure to the end.
Step 4
Think about how the adventure might conclude, including possible endings and rewards for the characters.
Guide
Step 1: Choose a level tier that matches the party. This determines which adventure-situation table is used for the premise.
Step 2: Optionally choose a hook table if you want to control how the characters are drawn in. Leave it empty to let the backend choose a hook table at random.
Step 3: Optionally choose an encounter-planner objective if you want to steer the type of scene you are building. Leave it empty to get a random encounter objective from the catalog.
Step 4: Click Generate. The builder will fill all four cards: premise, player hook, encounter plan, and climax.
Step 5: Generate again until the combination feels usable, then expand the result into NPCs, factions, locations, and encounters for your session.
